Opened 2007

The primary focus of the Central Academy of Ohio is to promote lifelong learning by nurturing academic excellence, positive character and an appreciation of cultures.

At the core of the Academy is the belief that children learn best and grow the most when the various aspects of their experience and education are integrated and interactive. The Academy has fashioned its curriculum in and directed its programs to foster connections among classmates, class work, the school community, and students’ homes. The students’ social and intellectual growth reinforce each other: when each is developed and coordinated with each other, the whole of the child is greater than the sum of his/her parts. The integrated themes and project-based curriculum truly enables students to become able, independent learners capable of solving the intricate problems needed for the 21st century workforce.

Students

Central Academy of Ohio provides students in grades 4-8 with a challenging, effective program of study and strong moral development in a safe and nurturing learning environment. The focus is on students residing in the Toledo Public School District and surrounding areas.
